We have developed a practical, easy to use IT tool for self assessment, called the Sustainability Assessment and Management System (SAMS). SAMS delivers self-assessment questionnaires based on the social, economic and environmental criteria of our Global Sustainability Framework.
SAMS enables you to assess, monitor, communicate and improve your products sustainability performance, by connecting actors in the supply chain. It evaluates compliance with existing codes, labels and standards (such as the Fair Trade label) of your products. We can customize the questionnaires to suit your organizations needs. SAMS is a web-based application.
How does it work?
Step 1: An actor (grower, supplier, brand owner) within your supply chain fills in the questionnaire within SAMS.
Step 2: That actor automatically receives a feedback report, containing an easy to read 5-level scale of the sustainability performance.
Step 3: Based on your choices, you can share this information with other actors in your product supply chain, for added connectivity and transparency.
The reports can be used as educational tools and can be initiated at any level of a product’s supply chain.
