One small step for man can be a giant leap for mankind. Said in another way, one small step by millions of people can change the world. To make it easier to take those small steps toward a better world, we have selected articles to give an overview of the People 4 Earth news and offer some helpful tips for developing a sustainable lifestyle.

Victoria KoblenkoPeople 4 Earth has been helping, together with other NGO's like Urgenda, to make the biggest fair of the Netherlands, the household fair, to gradually become more sustainable.

We developed a questionnaire with both social and environmental aspects to check which of the booths on the fair could be chosen as the most sustainable booth of all. Furthermore Victoria Koblenko (a Dutch soap actress) was wearing a "green" little black dress, which was checked by People 4 Earth on its sustainability aspects. And there is also a Green Booth on the fair which houses many different sustainable companies.

In this way a great many Dutch consumers will be able to familiarize themselves with what sustainability could mean in and for their normal life.

Stimuleringsprijs DuurzaamheidSeparate from the regular contest of the selection of the best Dutch supermarket of the year, in 2011 a new initiative will make its debut. This year for the first time there will also be the selection of sustainability in Dutch supermarkets.

People 4 Earth has developed a tool to check and value the sustainable activities which Dutch supermarkets are doing in order to improve their sustainability in various aspects. The first publicity for this contest has started already and the winner will be made known in June of this year.
