One small step for man can be a giant leap for mankind. It all starts with small steps which can change the world. To make it easier to take those small steps for a better world, we have selected articles to give an overview of the community news.

This information can be the start to improve our well-being, the well being of others, animals and the earth.

All subjects are possible as long as it's related to one or more of the four pillars of People 4 Earth: Pure, Fair, Life or Renew.

Dr. Alexander RDr. Alexander Rinnooy Kaninnooy Kan, a native of the Netherlands, has joined
People 4 Earth's Board of Inspiration.

In 1991, Dr. Rinnooy Kan became Chairman of the Confederation of Dutch Industry VNO, which became VNO-NCW in 1995. Dr. Rinnooy Kan was also on the Executive Board of ING and became Chairman of the Board of both ING Insurance Central Europe and ING Insurance & Asset Management Asia/Pacific. He held these positions until June 2006.

As of August 2006, Dr. Rinnooy Kan has been the Chairman of the Social-Economic Council (SER).

    Martine Bloquiaux at WyethFor the past two years, the employees of Wyeth Meeting Planning & Travel have taken steps to become more aware of the contributions they make in "greening their meetings" including reducing waste and energy consumption.

    As part of this ongoing initiative, Mary Davar, Regional Manager for Meeting Planning & Travel at Wyeth, asked People 4 Earth to speak at their "Living GREEN" seminar on July 27th, 2009. Martine Bloquiaux, Co-Founder of People 4 Earth, US, spoke to approximately 30 associates about the small steps each of them could contribute in their professional and personal lives to enhance Wyeth's efforts towards Corporate Citizenship.

    In addition to certifying business supply chains to assist them in developing healthier and safer products, People 4 Earth also provides Consumer Sustainability awareness for business employees.

    1. Night of sustainability
    On September 8th, we are celebrating the People 4 Earth launch kick-off of during the sustainability night at Urgenda in Amersfoort (The Netherlands). Key persons from the Dutch sustainability world will be present enabling People 4 Earth staff to promote our global initiative. More information about the program can be found here.

    2. Radio will connect the world of sustainability
    At midnight, CET, we will start with a 24 hrs Sustainability Radio program powered by People 4 Earth. You can listen worldwide to this program through the streaming on the People 4 Earth website. In Poland, England, Holland, Uganda, Ghana and Kenya as well as Africa and Indonesia (by Trans World Radio) the broadcast can be received on the radio. Many international leading people in sustainability will give an interview about their vision on moving to a better world. The broadcast is in cooperation with radio station Seagull.

    3. Conference at ICSE in Eindhoven (The Netherlands)
    The International Center for Sustainable Excellence (ICSE) in Eindhoven, the Netherlands, will be the first Center that shows visitors, participants and users how knowledge and skills in the field of sustainability will together shape our future and makes them experience this. Size of the location is 4000 m2.

    The International Centre for Sustainable Excellence will be opened on 7-9-09 and during the week commencing 7th September each day a conference on sustainability will be held.

    At 9-9-09 the Conference speakers are:

    • Dick Veerman (founder foodlog.nl)
    • Lulu Wang (discussing Sustainable China)
    • Wil Robben (industrial transformation)
    • Geert Kloppenburg (sustainable mobility)
    • Theo Land (self sufficient buildings)
    • Anneke Sipkens ( People 4 Earth)

    4. Reception People 4 Earth in the Botanic Garden of Washington DC
    The People 4 Earth US Foundation will host a reception to celebrate the official launch of People 4 Earth in the US. The reception will take place at the US Botanic Garden from 6-8pm. Along with an open bar and Green Restaurant approved hors d'oeuvres, many guests will be presented with an overview of our mission by Martine Bloquiaux and Mark Tulay. Allen White will discuss the white paper findings and Alisa Gravitz of Green America will provide a glowing recommendation for our services.

    Sustainable Tuesday in the Netherlands on 1 September 2009. To hand over the Sustainable initiatives in a suit-case to minister Cramer, the minister of Environment and Spatial Planning of the Netherlands.
