Nico has a passion for teamwork and connecting people. Having grown up on a farm, Nico enjoys feeling his hands in the earth.
After studying economics and marketing in Amsterdam, Nico worked for IBM and 3M for 7 years in marketing and sales. In 1983 he started the Videoland franchise-organization which grew from 1 to 180 stores in 9 years. In 1992 he invested in the natural food industry and was a shareholder and CEO of Natudis (The Netherlands). For 8 years he was on the board of directors of the Dutch Fair Trade stores(Wereldwinkels).
As a Co-founder and Managing Director, he is together with his business partner Martine Bloquiaux, responsible for the strategy and development of People 4 Earth worldwide.
Martine Bloquiaux is Co-Founder and Chair of the Board of People 4 Earth. Since its inception, about 3,5 years ago, Martine has consulted and worked worldwide with many stakeholders and experts in the sustainability field. Martine has a J.D. and began practicing law in her native Belgium. Soon afterwards, she specialized in international business and marketing and lived and worked in Europe, Asia and the United States. She has worked for companies such as MasterCard and Manpower in international marketing projects such as the launch of Maestro worldwide.
